Here at Superior K9 Training Academy, we understand how busy everyday life can be, and that not everyone can commit to a weekly training schedule. If you would like your companion to recieve world class training, but don’t think you can make time for classes, then our Board and Train packages are the best choice for you. To summarize, you leave your dog with us, and we handle all the training!
When you choose Superior K9 Training Academy, you can rest assured that you are not just another client; your canine and you become a part of our family. Your dog will live inside our home with us, not in an isolated kennel, and be taken care of as if they were our very own companion. Once you purchase your Board and Train package, you will be emailed a check list of what items to bring with your dog at drop off.
At the end of your dog’s stay, you and your family will receive a handler instructional class, which teaches you what your dog has learned and how to maintain your dog’s training once you arrive at home. After your handler class, you will recieve a customized, comprehensive instructional document via email. These instructions will guide you through proper training reinforcement and maintenance back at home. You will also be given a complimentary 1 hour follow up class that can either be over the phone or in person and can be scheduled at any time after pick up.
Each day of their stay, your dog will receive multiple training sessions and walks around our property & neighborhood with one of our expert trainers. The daily walks teach your dog how to properly walk along side you in a public setting. Your dog will also go on “field trips” with us to local parks and businesses, depending on their training level, which provides your dog with neccessary socialization and environmental desensitization.
Board and Train is for dogs of any breed and age. The earlier you start, the better! We recommend starting your dog’s training as early as 12 weeks of age so the proper foundation can be established. Board and Train is also a great option for families who may not have time to attend classes every week but want their companion to receive world class training.
We offer multiple training packages depending on your dog’s age and training needs, which are all outlined below. Training is not a “one size fits all” thing, and each package can be customized based on the needs of you and your dog. Board and train is for all breeds and all ages, starting at 3 months old. We train in your choice of English or German commands, however, we can do any language upon request!
Our Basic Foundations Program is the ideal first step for any dog just starting their training journey.This program takes place over the course of 2 weeks. During their stay, we focus on the most important part of your dog’s training foundation: basic obedience. Obedience is the most crucial first step for every dog, which paves the way towards all other facets of training. Your dog will learn all the basic fundamentals of training including properly walking on leash, using the restroom on leash, handler focus, manners, and all the basic obedience commands.
Our Elite Foundations package is a 4 week program that includes everything mentioned in our Basic Foundations Program with the addition of advanced obedience. Once the foundation has been laid, your dog will advance onto a higher level of training, which will include exposure to a variety of environments, place command, automatic left side positioning, automatic sit, front and enter focus, proper meet and greets, desensitization and an introduction to distraction training. This package also includes modification of unwanted behaviors as described by the client.
Our most inclusive and advanced package with a 6-8 week duration. This package includes everything in the basic and elite packages. Once basic and advanced training are complete, your dog will move forward into our highest level of obedience training, which includes duration training, distance training, training under distraction, conditional off leash training, sit and down in motion, and total recall training.
This program is a 2-4 week program designed for dogs that are exhibiting inappropriate behaviors and who are passed the critical foundation threshold. This program addresses undesirable behaviors such as jumping on guests, pulling during walks, barking and/or growling at other people and animals, nipping, destroying household items, displaying aggression, food aggression, fear aggression, rushing out of the crate and door, obedience rebellion, urinating/defecating indoors, and any other undesirable behavior described by the client.
Our 1 week/7 Day training getaway for your companion; designed as a refresher course for dogs who have previously trained with us. This program is also helpful for clients that need to board their dog while they are away and would like their dog’s stay to be productive & educational. Your dog will receive one on one training sessions, walks, exercise, and play time each day with one of our expert trainers.
A Basic Bath and Brush is complimentary for all of our 4 week + board & train package clients. For dogs staying less than 4 weeks, it can be added for an additional $75.
For dogs staying 4 weeks or more, grooming can be upgraded for an additional $75. Includes: Double Bath, Brush, Furmination, & Ear Cleaning

We offer vet visits at the owner's request for routine needs/vaccinations or if there is an issue, emergency, or illness during your dog's stay.
We generally do not recommend visits during your dog’s stay, as it is best for your dog to be able to stay focused on their education without disruption or distraction. Unnecessary interruption during training can cause your dog to regress.
During Board & Train, we prioritize your dog’s training needs, not play time with other dogs. Your dog will receive play time with our expert trainers in controlled environments after their daily training sessions.
Yes, we will take your puppy or adult dog to the vet at your request for an additional fee.

Yes, we offer spa day options for your companion that include bath, brush, ear cleaning, and nail clipping. Our Board & Train clients who choose the 4 week program and up receive complimentary grooming before going home. Please refer to Our Services page for more information.
Yes, we take your puppy/dog on field trips to local parks and businesses for environmental training during their stay. For puppies, field trips take place once they have been fully vaccinated.
Yes. Once your dog trains with us, they become family and can board with us anytime, including holidays. Please refer to Our Services page for additional information.
